Professor Wenlin Huang obtained his Ph.D in Molecular Virology in Princeton University in 1994. He was conducted neuroscience in Alleglany University in Philadelphia from 1996 to 1998. Late after, he pursued his research career in cancer drugs development in Advanced Viral Research Institute in Yonkers, New York. From 2001, he returned to cancer center, Sun Yat-Sen University for professorship on the field of anti-angiogenesis drug development. His expertise is in both basic research of oncogenesis of colorectal carcinoma and targeted drug research for cancers.

Dr. Huang’s major research interests is focused on the mechanism of colorectal carcinoma and the metastasis to explore the driver genes that regulate of other tumor related genes in cell cycle arrested or abnormally metabolism from gene sequence to the function. He published 100 research articles in peer reviewed scientific journals and edited 8 scientific books included the textbook of Molecular Virology; Oncology; Signal Transduction; Targeted Therapy for Cancers; Melanoma; Personalized Medicine etc.

Moreover, he has conducted at translational research of anti- angiogenesis drug against cancers (recombinant adenovirus carrying endostatin gene) from preclinical into phase III clinical trials both in China and USA as well. Professor Huang is the editorial board for the Journal of “Human Gene Therapy”, Chinese Journal of Cancer (CJC). He is served for one term of board of scientific consultant for 973 program of Ministry of Science and Technology in China.
